All of our handmade sustainable jewellery is sent directly from the studio. The design process is not solely focused on jewellery aesthetics, but one that continues our ethical approach right into the delivery and packaging of your jewellery. That’s why we only use recycled or recyclable materials in the process and do our best not to keep you waiting for your order.

We also want you to open up and discover more about us when you receive the item. So as well as some beautiful packaging that you will want to keep or use again, we include a jewellery care card, an information card that tells our story, and details regarding the origin of the jewellery. With some beautiful photography along the way, we hope to turn your purchase into a keepsake.

As a gift, jewellery often tells a story, and we think that it’s important that our pieces tell a story of integrity. The jewellery industry, and particularly mining precious metals, has forever been rooted in exploitation. The production of fast-fashion goods and accessories continues to be a blight on the environment, continuing to preserve the mistreatment of factory workers in less developed countries right across the globe. We take enormous pride in avoiding such mistreatment and only use 100% certified fair-mined tin in our jewellery, so shop here knowing that what you find is in tune with your values.

As an ethical jewellery brand, it is important to prioritise transparency and traceability in our production processes and sourcing of materials. On 1 January 2021, the Conflict Minerals Regulation was introduced which requires EU companies that import metals such as tin, tungsten, tantalum, and gold (all used abundantly in the manufacture of cars, mobile phones, and jewellery) to source and supply these elements through mining schemes that consider environmental impact, pay and treat workers fairly, and put a portion of their profits back into the local community. Koa Jewellery supports positive change and the fair treatment of everyone in the supply chain leading to our studio door.
